ESPORTS CAMPAIGN
+EVENT BRANDING

TFT Vegas Open was the first in-person esports event for Teamfight Tactics. Unlike most esports competitions that only feature the best pros, there were 512 slots open to all players who were bold enough to take on a new meta. For the campaign, we leaned into the glitz and glamor of Vegas as well as the game’s theme, Remix Rumble, which treats players as DJs on the main stage at a music festival.

HYPE TEASER

We worked with I LOVE DUST to create an animated teaser to introduce this first-of-its-kind event to players.

VISUAL + MOTION TOOLKIT

The visual and motion toolkit brings the campaign platform, STEP INTO THE LIGHT, to life with vibrant colors, gradients inspired by stage lights, and neon glow effects that capture the rush of stepping onto the big stage at a music festival.

MERCH

The talented May-Yen Lee and I brought the visual toolkit to the merch designs along with some custom neon artwork from the Show Opener film, created by Shotopop.

TROPHY BELT

TFT esports doesn’t take itself too seriously, so we created an over-the-top wrestling belt for the trophy. The belt even had traditional Vegas security guards to bring it on-stage during the Show Opener ceremony. We worked with Volpin Props to craft this belt with medallions inspired by the event and game’s current set.

FORMAT EXPLAINER

We created a video with easy-to-follow motion graphics to introduce this new type of competition to TFT players. I LOVE DUST brought this to life using the campaign look-and-feel.
